So let's start off with a little about what we do. We are a home improvement company, started in 1957 by the Madaris Family. We've served the greater Tennessee area ever since then, and have expanded our reach into Huntsville, Al, metro Atlanta, Ga, and as far south as Delray Beach, Fl. We provide maintenance free windows and doors, vinyl siding, gutter covers, roofs and Eshield for your home. We back it with an amazing warranty that covers labor and material. If there's ever a problem, we want you to contact us so we can make it right, and make sure that you are completely happy. After all, as you well know, the warranty is only as good as the company that stands behind it. The company is owned by Hugh Harris. Very interesting Blog, Here the real deal- Hugh Harris the owner not long ago bought into Madaris after he botched Dixie Home Crafters!! Look up Dixie Home Crafters on the Atlanta BBB and see for yourself!! F Ratings and many unhappy customers- Dixie Homecrafters is now CLOSED! Madaris is now getting alot of complaints and will soon head down the same path as Dixie- History repeating itself! They train their reps to come to your home and high pressure sell you on inferior products! Your right HUGH HARRIS is not NEW to the home improvement industry- very bad reputation in the industry and a PROVEN track record- do your research folks and match the two companies!!!!
ReplyDeleteI worked for them when they had an office in Baltimore and they are rip offs, Hugh Harris and Schuette would be cursing out their GM's on a conference call in which I witnessed many times. This all took place during the market fall of 2008. Schuetee from a former company name Pace Setter Corporation which he was marketing VP. And that company closed in 2005 after 40yrs of business. I'm not laying blame on Schuette, there were more reasons for the closing but least to say he was part of upper management in which I was employed there as well. So beware when dealing with big home improvement companies, they sell high with cheap products and don't honor their work even under warranty.

Signed our contract 10/2014. To date they have not pulled permit despite being given the signed & notarized permit application on 11/14, 3/15 & 5/15.
ReplyDeleteDespite being paid $27,150.00, they also have not installed 2 Impact Rated CWS triple low e Vinyl doors, provided a door handle for the cabana door they did install, or repair the broken pin in my front door. Not having the locking pin engaged in my double front door is a safety issue as the door is not secure.
I've contacted Nick & Hugh by text yesterday in regards to requesting answers on specifics
1 -When will you obtain my permit (as stated in our contract)
2 -Install the 2 Impact CWS triple low e french doors (as stated in our contract)
3 -Date of completion of our project
In all my attempts, I've been strung along for another few months and no response to my attempts yesterday.
My opinion of this company is... RUN! They have no integrity nor do they care about their customers. They took my $$ and have had no intentions on finishing the job. 8 months was plenty of time to get the job done.
I will seek justice.

Hugh Harris is the biggest, most obnoxious asshole I have ever come in contact with. I sincerely hope he dies a from a very painful, slow disease infected, death.
